Hyderabad, May 15, 2007

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy took a serious note of the rampant corruption in the town planning departments in the cities and towns, he directed the Municipal Administration department to transfer the town planning staff who have completed two years of service at one place across the State.

He took serious view of ACB unearthing Rs. 80 lakh in cash, one kilo of gold articles and other properties worth several crore in the raids on the office and residence of Kukatpally town planning officer Rama Narasimhaiah. He directed the officials concerned to transfer would take place in civic bodies falling within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation within a week and implement the policy in other municipalities later.
