TDP activist to protest on injustice to state in Babhali project
Hyderabad, May 12, 2007Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Nara Chandrababu Naidu flagged off a special train as a part of the Sri Ram Sagar Project Parirakshana Yatra at the Secunderabad Railway Station. The Delhi-bound train started at Secunderabad at 3:00 PM and is carrying about 12 TDP MLA's, party leaders and activists.
The TDP will be staging a dharna as a protest for the injustice done to the state in the Babhali project. Speaking with the press, Senior TDP Leader Devendar Goud said that the party will use all democratic means to bring in pressure on the Central Government to ensure that the state will get its rightful share in the Babhali project.
Meanwhile, Chandrababu will be flying to Delhi to lead a protest in Delhi. Speaking with the journalists at the railway station, he urged Congress supremo Ms. Sonia Gandhi to step in and bring a political solution to the issue.
