ACB special teams unearthed assets worth over Rs.1.25 crore
Hyderabad, May 11, 2007The officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested the Town Planning Officer of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation's (Kukatpally circle) B Rama Narasimha Rao on the charge amassing wealth. The officials of the ACB unearthed assets worth over Rs.1.25 crore owned by him after searching his house at Sikh village, and those of his in laws at Atmakuru and father at Warangal and his office.
The officials found cash Rs.73.65 lakh at different places in his flat. However, the Town Planning Officer could not explain about the amount found by the officials. The officials unearthed five plots at Kukatpally, three at Alwal, two at Ghatkesa5, one at Uppal and four at Hanamkonda, two flats in the city, two houses in Warangal and four acres of agricultural land at Keesara on the city fringes. The official will be produced before the special court.
