Transport Minister says occupancy ratio improved
Hyderabad, March 9, 2007
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has improved its revenue figures this year. The state road transport has netted an additional revenue of Rs. 20 crore more in February as compared to the previous year. The occupancy ratio has also crossed seventy percent.
The Minister for Transpot K. Lakashminarayana in the State Assembly announced this. A growth of 15.38 percent was registered by February end with the revenue being put at Rs. 3358.10 crores as against Rs. 2910.43 crores corresponding last year.
The average vehicle productivity per day went upto 12 km from 334 to 346 km and the Corporation transported over 1.25 core passengers a day according to the Executive Director, Training and Coordination A. Nageswararao.
