Appeal to Minister for BC Welfare D Srinivas
Hyderabad, March 4, 2007
The Andhra Pradesh State BC Welfare Association on Sunday appealed to BC Welfare Minister D Srinivas to release another Rs.90 crore toward BC Student scholarships and fee reimbursements.
In an appeal, they said that the scholarships for the academic year 2006-07 covered only seventy percent and scholarships covered only to 2.3 lakh students out of 3.8 lakh students who applied. The sanctioned fee reimbursement for the same in this year is not sufficient, they said.
