Agriculture Department to reach farmers more closely

Hyderabad, March 28, 2007

Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be launching a portal exclusive for the farming community. The portal from the Department of Agriculture is aiming at reaching the farmers in a much better manner. The AGRISNET portal will initially cater to the faming community in the districts of Rangareddy and Kadapa and will be run as a pilot project initially.

The portal will become a platform for farmers and the scientists and agriculture officials so that they can interact with each other. The portal will hopefully educate the farmers from the state and thus take the state share of agriculture produce to new highs.
