Women abducting infants arrested

Locals identify miscreant

Hyderabad, March 24, 2007

The mystery as to who has abducted four infants from various parts of the city has finally solved. The posters put up all around the city and aired through local electronic media made the task for the Police Department easy.

According to sources, the abductor, a women, was identified as Sujatha, a sex worker and a native of Narayanpet in Mahabubnagar district. The sources says that she had abducted four infants all boys and incidentally she sold them to childless couples in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra for Rs.15,000 each. However, it is a tough time for the cops to trace and rescue the missing children.

Police teams have been rushed to Bhiwandi to trace the infants. It may be recalled that she had kidnapped 18 months old Chandu Singh from Jubilee Hills, two year old Anif from Banjara Hills and Babu from Madhapur in February. A more recent one in the list is the abduction of one Kartik from Fathehnagar in Sananthnagar just a couple of days.
