Elaborate arrangements made
Hyderabad, March 24, 2007
All necessary arrangements were made for the counting of votes polled for the candidates in the fray for Teachers and Graduates constituencies of Legislative Council in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahboobnagar districts. Counting will take place at 8am and nearly 350 staff have been deployed for the purpose.
For counting of Graduate votes, 14 tables with 57 trays have been put up and 8 tables for counting of Teacher votes. In the elections held during the last week, 73.48 percent of Teachers and 56.18 percent of Graduates exercised their franchise.
57 candidates have contested in Graduate Constituency and 4 for Teachers' constituencies. Of the total 12,998 teachers votes, 9551 exercised their franchise. Out of the 2,12,210 Graduate voters, 1,19,215 have polled their votes.
