Proposed outlay at Rs.100 crore to boost tourism
Vijayanagaram, March 24, 2007To explore the tourism potential of Viziangaram fully, the District Administration has evolved a plan with an outlay of Rs.100 crore. At the District Tourism Project Council meeting held in Hyderabad recently, it was decided to promote adventure tourism at Punyagiri and rural tourism at Bobbili.
The decision was taken into account after considering various factors including the architectural wonders, historical monument, religious places, nature spots and such facilities available in the region. A proposal was also made to develop Rock Gardens at Vyasa Narayanametta. Each project would cost Rs.50 lakhs according to the District Tourism Officer, B Konam Raju.
