Special monitoring cells to be constituted
Hyderabad, March 14, 2007In an official statement, the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy stated that a Special Monitoring Cells will be constituted in all district s under the supervision of the District Collector concerned to oversee the execution of the Rajiv Swagruha, the scheme intended to construct houses for the middle class people. The statement stated that if necessary, an IAS officer would be appointed at the State level to oversee the progress.
He said that the cell would verify if the land acquired for middle class housing had clear title deeds. The Government would ensure that the beneficiaries would get bank loans. A meeting of the bankers would be called to facilitate sanction of loans and contribution of the beneficiaries would be only 25 percent of the total cost of the scheme.
He said in the statement that wherever there is Government land, available it would be utilized for the purpose. Otherwise, required land would be acquired.
