Hyderabad, March 11, 2007

Rajiv Swagruha, a program aimed to provide houses and flats for the middle income group in all municipalities and corporations will begin on March 25 and the applications will be available at all e-Seva centres across the State. To eligible for this scheme, applicants should have lived in the State continuously for the last five years.

Those who intendeds to apply should not own a house or a flat in the corporation or in the municipality in which he intends to apply. The application fee is fixed at Rs.250 with a deposit of Rs. 5,000 in Corporations and Rs. 3,000 in Municipalities.

According to reliable sources, the Chief Minister had directed the officials concerned to scrutinize the applications received through e-Seva centres and the list of allotees' prepared at the earliest. He directed the AP Housing Board to take up land acquisition after completing the demand survey in the respective municipalities and Corporations.
