Expert committee to study the issue
Hyderabad, March 10, 2007The two-day CPI national council meeting that concluded in New Delhi on Saturday endorsed the State Council's resolution demanding that the UPA Government constitute an expert committee to study the separate Telangana issue.
According to the party's State secretary K. Narayana, the party, however opposed the constitution of Second States' Reorganization Commission as it would stir a hornet's net.
The CPI State Council at a meeting in the last month admitted that thee was strong sentiment among the people as well as the party's rank and file in Telangana in favour of a separate State.
