Congress activists went on rampage
Hyderabad, June 9, 2007The row between Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy and KA Paul is taking serious proportions. The sharp charges made by KA Paul against the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy made the Congress activists went on the rampage an damaged the furniture at the preacher's offices in Hyderabad and at several places on Saturday. Meanwhile, the government has begun preparing ground for resumption of the assigned land in his possession in Medak district.
The youth Congress activists damaged the window panes of GUM's office and also of a car. They burnt pictures of KA Paul. The police arrested 19 activists in Hyderabad in the limits of Panjagutta police station. In Visakhapatnam, the leaders gheraoed Paul at the airport when he reached the port city end route to Kakinada. He managed to reach his residence where Congress leaders again staged a dharna. There was a verbal duel between him and the Congress leaders. He left to Kakinada here he was scheduled to address meetings on Sunday and Monday.
Speaking to media, he was prepared for a polygraph test and dared the Chief Minister to do so. He said that he would produce evidence in support of his allegation that the Chief Minister had asked him for US $5 million for poll expenses. Meanwhile, the opposition party leader N Chandrababu Naidu has dropped his plans to attend the evangelist's meetings at Kakinada.
