An integrated Steel Plant at Ambavaram in Jammalamadugu

The Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy will lay foundation stone for the first phase of Brahmani Industries Limited, an integrated Steel Plant at Ambavaram in Jammalamadugu on June 10. The first phase of the steel pant, to be established by an MLC of Bellary, Janardhana Reddy would be completed within one and half years with an investment of Rs. 4,500 crore and initial installed capacity of two million tonnes.
The district administration has alloted 10,675 acres of land in Jammalamadugu constituency at a cost of Rs. 18,500 per acre following the State Cabinet's approval of proposals to set up the plant.
