Proposes to set up International Trade Facilitation Centre
Hyderabad, June 8, 2007The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy on Friday speaking on the eve of 89th FAPCCI awards function, said that Andhra Pradesh is going to witness a big industrial growth in the next three years. He said that the capacity of the ONGC refinery at Kakinada had been increased from 8 million to 15 million tonnes.
The President of FAPCCI, Sudhir Sanghi hailed the government's incentives for setting up of industries in the State. He said there were issues pertaining to VAT that needed to be solved by the government and sought expeditious work on Special Economic Zones. He said that FAPCCI proposed to set up an International Trade Facilitation Centre at Visakhapatnam.
Senior president KC Jain of Kesoram Cement received the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru silver rolling trophy for 'Excellence in Industrial Productivity', Hindustan Zinc Limited (Visakhapatnam) head of operations AK Jain received the Amancherla Ramamurthy silver rolling trophy for 'Excellence in All round Performance'.
