State Cabinet approves the decision
Hyderabad, June 6, 2007The State Cabinet that met on Wednesday has decided to offer jobs to the kin of civilians and home guards killed in radical violence on compassionate grounds. The jobs to be offered include junior assistants, typists, teachers and attenders. The Cabinet has also decided that if no posts are available, the District Collectors have been authorized to create as many supernumerary posts as required to help the victims' families.
Speaking to media, the Information Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy said that in case of home guards killed by radicals, the Government would pay Rs. 5 lakhs as ex gratia to the family, those suffering from permanent disability would receive Rs. 2 lakhs and those with major injuries Rs. 75,000 towards medical expenditure.
