Decision taken after assurance from the Government
Hyderabad, June 3, 2007The Mala Mahanadu president who is under indefinite fast for the last five days opposing the categorization of SCs into A,B,C and D has ended on Sunday following an assurance from the State Government. The Minister for Social Welfare P Subash Chandra Bose along with a delegation met Prabhakara Rao and held discussions with his and persuaded him to give up his protest.
Prabhakara Rao speaking to media said that the government has agreed to take a delegation of Mala Mahanadu representatives led by some Cabinet ministers to New Delhi an fix an interview with the President APJ Abdul Kalam and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and also Prime Minister, Man Mohan Singh on the issue. The government has constituted a committee with intellectuals to examine the issue.
Meanwhile, the MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga charged the government for adopting double standards and trying to woo the both communities.
