Lightning claims six lives in Ongole

Six others injured; Rushed to hospital

Five persons including three women were killed when lightning struck the hut in which they were sleeping at Chundi village in Ponnalur mandal late on Saturday night. Six others who were injured were admitted to the Government hospital a Kandukur.

According to police, they were all working in a brick making unit located nearly Pyreddipalem. Meanwhile, in Kurnool, one person was killed by lightning at Alampur crossroads on Sunday.
