Warangal, June 29, 2007

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, the Superintendent of Police Soumya Mishra said that the police personnel unearthed eight land mines pitched on the Kaluvapaly road in Tadvai mandal by Maoists. They also seized five weapons along with ammunition belonging to various naxals groups. He said the police arrested a courier of Praja Prathighatana and pseudo Naxalite.

In two separate incidents, the police seized a 0.30 carbine along with 32 live rounds from Janashkakti naxalites at Lingala forest area and another .30 carbine with 12 live rounds, one 3.2 pistol with four rounds belonging to Prathighatana naxalites was also seized at Masuku thanda in Palakuthy mandal.
