Targets at meeting power needs
Hyderabad, June 26, 2007
The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCSL) will set up a pit-head thermal station in Adilabad District using its coal to meet the power needs of the company.
At a meeting held on Tuesday with the Minister for Energy and Coal, Mohd. Ali Shabbir, the company's Chairman and Managing Director S Narasinga Rao disclosed the same.
The Minister reviewed the performance of the SCCL this year so far and asked the officials to make efforts to achieve the production target of 38 million tonnes set for 2007-2008.
