Alprazolam worth over Rs. 15 lakh seized
Hyderabad, June 20, 2007
In a major haul, the officials of the excise department have raided three places in the city and Cyberabad recently and seized 35 kg of alprazolam worth Rs. 15 lakhs. It is a narcotic substance used as a stimulant in toddy.
This is the first time in the State that such a large quantity of alprazolam is seized. The raids were conducted on the houses of Ella Goud in Begumpet and Anand Kumar Goud in Tukaramgate and the material was seized.
