They demanded to convene House Committee on GO 610

Hyderabad, June 19, 2007

Telangana MLAs from different political parties staged a dharna in front of Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Assembly on Tuesday demanding that a meeting of the House Committee on GO 610 be convened immediately.

T Devender Goud of TDP, Chada Venkata Reddy of CPI, J Ranga Reddy of CPI (M) and T Harish Rao of TRS and other members of the House Committee expressed surprise at the way the meeting of the panel was being put off one one pretext or the other. They marched out holding placards and shouting slogans in support of their demand.

Devender Goud alleged that the Government was planning to a give decent burial to the GO 10 going by its shifting stand and delaying tactics. Harish Rao said that the government has created confusion. The Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara reddy says GO would be implemented.
