Hyderabad, June 17, 2007

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhara Rao will lead a one day hunger strike by party leaders on June 20 at Indira Park demanding withdrawal of a Government order that sought to provide micro irrigation facilities for major lift irrigation projects. Speaking to media on Sunday, he said that the hunger strike would be followed up by motorcycle procession in all districts on June 26.

He further said that he would himself undertake a tour of Telangana districts against the order by a bus that is being specially fabricated for the party's campaign programmes. The bus will be called as 'Telangana Atma Gaurava Ratham' is set to be functional with this tour that will commence from Mahabubnagar.
