1,450 Doctors to be recruited during this year

Inaugurates state-wide Health Awareness Campaign

The Minister of Vaidya Vidhana Parishad V Venkateswara Rao said on Thursday that nearly 450 specialized doctors and 1,000 MBBS doctors would be recruited during this year. He said the government has already recruited 170 doctors.

Speaking at a gathering after formally inaugurating State wide 'Health Awareness Campaign' at Malakpet Area Hospital, the minister said that doctors of civil hospitals would interact with the general public on every Monday for about one and half hours on health topics.

As a part of the programme, sanitation, clean and healthy environments in government hospitals would be given priority and necessary funds were earmarked. He promised to develop Malakpet Area Hospital as a model one in the State.
