YS Rajasekhara Reddy asks party cadre not to damage the property of Paul
East Godavari, June 10, 2007Congress workers staged a demonstration in front of a hotel where KA Paul is staying. The slogan shouting demonstrators damaged the car of KA Paul. They raised slogans denouncing Paul and demanding an open apology for making baseless allegations against the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy an AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.
The agitators also conducted 'Shava Yatra' of Paul in the main streets of the town. The slogan shouting Congress workers pulled down all the cut outs and banners of Paul installed all over the town in connection with his two day peace conference.
Meanwhile, Paul reiterated his charges against the Chief Minister and offered to prove them with documentary evidence. He expressed anguish over the alleged false reports being circulated by the Congress leaders. He refuted the charge regarding several cheating cases against him abroad and said that all could be verified and he was prepared for any punishment if found guilty. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister appealed the Congress workers not to damage the property of KA Paul any where in the State but exercise restraint.
