Chandrababu Naidu to take active role

Hyderabad, June 1, 2007

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu will have a meeting with the leaders of like minded regional parties on June 6 to discuss the prospects of forging a third front at the national level and the strategy to be adopted in the election of President.

The leaders who are expected to attend the meeting include AIADMK president Jayalalitha, Swamajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav Assam Gana Parishad president B Goswami and Indian National Lok Dal leader Om Prakash Choutala.

Sources reveal that Chandrababu Naidu will leave for a 15 days tour to US on June 26 to participate in the TANA meetings and also muster support for the TDP's NRI Wing. After returning from US on July 8, he will undertake Palle Bata during which he is expected to tour the districts to strengthen the party cadre.
