Hyderabad, July 31, 2007

The Minister for Transport Kanna Lakshminarayana urged the Left parties not to politicize the land issues and urged them not to doubt the Government's commitment in implementing the recommendations of the Koneru Ranga Rao committee. He said that this is evident from the fact that the Government had already accepted 74 recommendations while 30 more had been referred to the Cabinet Sub Committee.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, he is a member of the Cabinet panel constituted to hold negotiations with the Left launched a scathing attack on the Opposition Party president N Chandrababu Naidu for his token hunger strike. Ridiculing the TDP president for seeking land distribution, he said that he did not made a single mention about the land to the poor in his Vision 2020.
