Says AK47 and SLR were used for the first time
Khammam, July 29, 2007President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Leader of the Opposition, Nara Chandrababu Naidu left for Mudigonda in Khammam district in the wake of the deaths in police firing in the region yesterday. Speaking with the press in Hyderabad just before starting his visit, he said that the incident is an unfortunate one and that usage of AK47 and SLR were used in the first time in the state. He said that once such weaponry is used, it is difficult to ascertain as to whom it will hit.
Naidu said that the Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy has to resign owing to moral reasons. He said that the law and order is slowly slipping hands and that police are using their own discretion in incidents such as the Mudigonda incident.
