Hyderabad, July 25, 2007Satyam Computers General Manager V Satyanarayana who was kidnapped by pseudo naxals on 24th morning from Secunderabad was set free at the Warangal Railway Station on the same night after the victim's driver V Mohan who was arrested by the police confessed the organizing the kidnap. Satyanarayana was kidnapped at around 8.30am at SD Road after he had dropped his two daughters off at Geetanjali school. Immediately, the police arrested the car driver of Satyanarayana who confessed that he worked with his accomplices from Gudur village in Warangal.
The City Police Commissioner said at a press conference, the kidnappers were after aware of the arrest of their associate Mohan and revealed every thing and also came to know that special teams left for Warangal, they released Satyanarayana. Soon after his release, he boarded a train to Secunderabad and informed the same to his wife Kiranmayee.
However, by the time the special teams arrived Gudur village, the accused had already released the victim and fled. The house owner who provided shelter to the kidnappers was arrested and brought to Hyderabad. The victim said that the kidnappers were carrying short fire arms with them and they did not cause any harm to him. He also said that they provided food and water. He said one of the victim Venkanna is a murder accused and a case was filed against him by the Warangal police and the police are yet to arrest the other accused.
