Hyderabad, July 25, 2007The actress, Monica Bedi who was arrested on the charge of her association with don Abu Salem was released from Chanchalguda prison on Wednesday morning.
Monica Bedi and Abu Salem were extradited from Lisbon, Portugal in 2005 and was arrested by the CBI charges of obtaining a forged passport and remanded in Chanchalguda prison the same year. After her release on Wednesday morning, she left for Delhi with her father Prem Kumar Bedi and uncle Purshottam en route to their native place Hoshiarpur in Punjab after a lapse of nine years.
Speaking to media persons soon after her release, she said that she was excited after the Apex Court's granting bail. She said that she had offers in four films and she will be back in the cinema industry very soon. She also said that a film based on her story is also being envisaged. She said that she will come to Hyderabad soon.
