Chief Ministers remarks not befitting to his post says Chandrababu Naidu

He charged the Chief Minister for lowering the dignity of the House

Hyderabad, July 23, 2007

The main leader of the Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu speaking at a press conference on Monday said that the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's comment against him in the House was not befitting his post. He said that there was no precedent of the Leader of the House behaving in such an irresponsible manner. He commented that if he wanted to react in similar manner, he can do so. The comments made by the Chief Minister against him has lowered the dignity of the House.

He also found fault with the Speaker, KR Suresh Reddy for not saying a word against the Chief Minister and expressed his unhappiness and wondered if the MLAs had no right to visit a mining corporation to see if it was resorting to illegal mining. The top leaders of the TDP said that the Chief Minister has no moral right to continue as Leader of the House for his objectionable remarks. They commented that his remarks shows frustration and intolerance at the way the Opposition had been exploiting corruption.
