P Janardhana Reddy demands case against kin withdrawn

AICC secretary Iqbal Singh met PJR

Hyderabad, July 19, 2007

The All India Congress Committee secretary Iqbal Singh met the Khairatabad MLA P Janardhana Reddy at the latter's house on Thursday leading to speculation over its significance in the backdrop of continuing spat between P Janardhana Reddy and YS Rajasekhara Reddy's brother over the recent road rage incident.

Earlier, Janardhana Reddy along with Marri Shashidhar Reddy met the AICC observers for the Presidential elections Luzhinho Faliero and Suresh at the Assembly lobbies. The both the observers were at Home Minister K Jana Reddy's chamber along with the Political Advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumanta Rao.

The Congress MLAs reportedly appealed the Home Minister to withdraw the case under Section 37 registered against Janardhana Reddy's son. However, P Janardhana Reddy preferred to remain silent on his threat to launch an indefinite fast which he had postponed earlier to seek justice.
