He was shifted to police station
Hyderabad, July 14, 2007The Mala Mahanadu president Jupudi Prabhakara Rao was arrested at his residence in the New MLA quarters ahead of the arrival of Usha Mehra, Chairperson and members of National Commission for categorization of Scheduled Castes in the State on Saturday.
He was taken to the Bolarum police station on the outskirts where he would be detained until the completion of the public hearing by the Commission at Hyderabad Collectorate on Sunday. The police also arrested president of another faction of Mala Mahanadu Karem Sivaji at the airport. Both of them have given a call to obstruct the commission's hearing.
The District Administration has denied permission to the proposed rally at Indira Park on Sunday. The Police administration has made elaborate arrangements to tackle any untoward incidents and deployed additional forces.
