The row between the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Congress MLA P Janardhana Reddy over registration of an attempt to murder case against Vishnuvardhan Reddy son of Janardhana Reddy does not show any signs of abating in the near future.

On the contrary, he along with his family members went to Jubilee Hills police station and sat over 20 hours despite repeated requests by the police officials to leave the place. The Chief Minister's special secretary K Bhanu claimed that Janardhana Reddy called him over telephone in the evening and requested him to broker peace with Ravindranath and was prepared to offer an apology but Ravindranath who rejected the proposal.

The Station House Officer has booked a case based on the First Information Report and the charge sheet is filed on the basis of findings during investigation. According to reliable sources, it is understood that the Chief Minister said that he would not interfere in the case as all are equal before law. As the things are going on, P Janardhana Reddy announced to take his indefinite fast from July 16, the day the monsoon session of the Assembly begins. He demanded the government to suspend West Zone DCP N Madhusudan Reddy, arrest of YS Ravinranath Reddy and an impartial probe into the incident.
