Janardhana Reddy demands impartial inquiry by a Police Officer

Hyderabad, July 10, 2007

The ongoing war between the two families of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and P Janardhana Reddy is acquiring a serious political dimensions. The MLA has decided to fight the arrest of his son Vishnuvardhan Reddy and son in law Santosh Reddy for alleged attack on YS Ravindranath Reddy, the brother of YS Rajasekhara Reddy and his son Sumadhur Reddy on a political plane.

According to sources, Janardhana Reddy intends to hold a meeting with two other dissident MLAs viz., M Shashidhar Reddy and P Shankar Rao in a couple of days before deciding the future course of action. He alleged that registering a case under Section 307 against his son, who happens to be the treasurer of NSUI was intended to damage his political career. Meanwhile, Shashidhar Reddy rushed to Delhi to explain the issue to the party high command.

Meanwhile, the Pradesh Congress Committee president termed the issue as a family affair of two families. Janardhana Reddy demanded for ordering an impartial inquiry by a police officer, suspension of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madhusudhan Reddy and registering cases under Section 307 against Ravindranath Reddy and his son. However, Keshava Rao brushed away the allegation that the cases were politically motivated.
