Vijayawada, January 6, 2007

The prime accused in the last year’s serial killings at Rudakshapalli village of Khammam district T. Rama Rao and co accused G. Yesobu escaped from Nuzvid sub jail where he was lodged as an under trial in a broad daylight along with co accused made good escapee in the jail break.

The District Superintendent of Police Murugesh Kumar Singh visited the jail and heard first hand information on the incident. The SP announced suspension of Agiripali Assistant Sub Inspector of Police KSR Muthy and four constables for dereliction of duty. The SP said that the ASI was specially deputed to keep a watch on Rama Rao, the prime accused till the case is completed.

According to SP, the jail head warder Suryanarayana along with constable Rambabu opened the lock of the cell in which they were lodged. The duo immediately attacked the warder and injured them. Another constable opened fire on the accused but they managed to escape. The police are hunt for them.
