Hyderabad, January 6, 2007Gitex India, an annual Information and Communication Technology products exhibition will be held at Hitex Exhibition Grounds at Madhapur from January 9 to 11. Gitex will have an exhibition, computer shopper, conference tracks and recognition of best performing ICT companies. The Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will inaugurate the exhibition on January 9 according to the IT Principal Secretary K. Ratna Prabha.
Speaking to media, she said that the expo would also have a software exhibition apart from the hardware show. Nearly 150 exhibitors including Satyam, Wipro, ECIL, Rapiscan, Microsoft, HSBC, Cognizant, and some small and medium enterprises will participate in the three-day event.
Companies like Compaq, Samsung, Sony, BenQ, LG and Lenova are likely to have their direct outlets to give best deals for desktops, laptops, Pods, mobile phones and computer peripherals to the end users. Nearly15,000 people are expected to visit the event, she said. The Government exempted payment of VAT by buyers on computers during Gitex.
