Utsav to be held once in 15 years
Srikakulam, January 29, 2007Sirimanu Utsav at Bhadramahankali temple in Fazulbegpet will be held on Tuesday. Nearly 50,000 devotees are expected to visit the temple during the Utsav, which is held once in 15 years.
The temple authorities have made adequate arrangements including illumination of lights to the temple. Ravi Kumar, a Kargil hero, will climb the pinnacle of Sirimanu this time. Traditionally, Ravi Kumar’s family members are performing the ritual.
On the occasion of Bhisma Ekadasi on Monday, Venugopla Swamy Yatra organized with a pious note. The annual Yatra at Saligundam, ten kilometers away from Srikakulam drew a large number of devotees. The APSRTC operated several bus services from different parts.
