Chief Minister to inaugurate the celebrations

Hyderabad, January 24, 2007

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy will formally inaugurate the weeklong Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Telugu Film Industry at a function being held at the Jubilee Hall on Thursday.

Information and Public Relations Commissioner C. Parthasarady said that the AP Film Development Corporation and AP Television and Theatre Development Corporation will jointly organize the function. He said a special postal cover and calendar making the 75th year of Telugu film industry will be released at the inaugural function.

He said a Compact Disc in memoirs on Telugu cinema will also be released. Special programmes including singing of cinema songs by leading artistes will be organized every day during the week. The entry for the celebration is free, he added.
