Cuddapah, January 23, 2007

The Kadapa District Educational Officer (DEO) Y. Balaiah who was placed under suspension following detention of irregularities in the DSC-2006 on Tuesday said that he would end his life if his involvement in the irregularities were proved.

At a press conference, he said that he was made a scapegoat for being honest and how he could be made responsible for manipulation of OMR sheets at Hyderabad. He said that no allegations came up right from the issue of applications till completion of the DSC test.

He said that Proddatur Deputy DEO K. Satyanarayana Murty, school assistant Sankaraiah were sent to Hyderabad along with two escort policemen for handing over the OMR sheets at the reception centre. He alleged that the Deputy DEO and others manipulated OMR sheets at Hyderabad.
