Hyderabad, January 2, 2007

Students from the next academic year onwards have to pay increased tuition fee to pursue Intermediate course in government and aided junior colleges in the State. The government has issued an order providing for a ten per cent hike in tuition fee annually for Intermediate course in these institutions.

The Minister for Higher Education P. Venkateswara Rao speaking to reporters on Tuesday said that the order has stipulated a ten percent increase in tuition fee every year. He further said a bill providing for establishment of a new university in either Nalgonda or Mahabubnagar districts would be introduced in the budget session of the Assembly.
