Cuddapah, January 17, 2007

The Kadapa police arrested the Deputy District Educational Officer of Prodattur K. Satyanarayana Murty since dismissed from service and three teaches on the charge of committing irregularities in the DSC 2006 on Wednesday and recovered Rs. 47.70 lakhs, a car and their cell phones in a scam involving Rs. 93.60 lakhs.

The Kadapa Superintendent of Police Y. Nagi Reddy told to the media that the Deputy District Educational Officer allegedly collected Rs. 32 lakhs from six candidates and the police recovered Rs. 6.5 lakhs and a new Ambassador car purchased by him. He said that the school assistant in Government High School for the Blind M. Sankaraiah collected Rs. 16 lakhs from eight candidates and Rs. 13.90 lakhs was recovered from him. A Sundaraiah, teacher in Chandramouli aided school collected Rs. 29.10 lakhs from 15 candidates said the SP.

It may be recalled that Kadapa ‘DSC Badhithula Sangham’ president Mohd. Moulana and members filed a complaint on January 8. The Deputy DEO and three teachers were booked under various sections of IPC.
