Vijayawada, January 14, 2007

Thanks to the daring act of the police, the kidnap bid came to an end with the arrest of the culprits. Two teenagers - a girl aged 20 and a boy aged 23 were rescued from the kidnapers clutches safely by the police.

Grandhi Deepti and Badam Bharat Kumar who went to Araku valley for a trip were held by one Nagalla Prasad, the maternal uncle of Deepti and taking them into their custody for some ransom. The police who kept vigil at various locations enroute Araku and Vijayawada stopped the van in which the kidnappers were taking the two. Four persons linked with the kidnap were arrested on various charges by the police.
