Loan amount to be used for going programs
Hyderabad, January 12, 2007The World Bank has approved $150 million loan to the State Government. The ‘AP Economic Reform Credit/Loan Development Policy Lending’ loan was approved by the Executive Directors of the World Bank according to available sources. Another $75 million will be released during the next financial year.
The World Bank had been extending budget support to the State Government in the form of loan for its on going programme of fiscal, administrative and service delivery reforms. The amount will be utilized to improve the State’s investment climate, strengthen public expenditure and fiscal management practices. Improve quality of public service delivery in health, education and power sectors and help the government to target anti poverty programmes better through effective monitoring and evaluation.
