Animation City on plans
Hyderabad, January 11, 2007Buoyed by the response from the industry during the Gitex India 2007, the State Government is planning to set up an ‘Animation City’ and ‘Electronics City’ near Hyderabad in which the previously announced Animation Academy would form an integral part.
K. Ratna Prabha, Prinicipal Secretary, Department of IT, said to reporters that modalities for setting up Animation City would be worked out soon on the conclusion of annual IT Trade show on Thursday.
The Gitex India and India Soft 2007, which was organized on parallel lines, were highly successful she said. The business networking and familiarization done during the two events could generate a business to the tune of Rs. 2000 crore over the next couple of years.
