Modalities are being worked out
Hyderabad, January 10, 2007
The State government is thinking of expanding the Jawahar Knowledge Centre concept by introducing it in schools in the next academic year. The Chief Minister reviewing the performance of the Institute of Electronic Governance (IEG) and the JKCs in the State directed G. Subba Rao of IEG to work out modalities and submit a detailed report.
Rao while giving presentation on employment generation plan said that the State should prepare itself to compete in the global scenario by imparting necessary skills to the unemployed youth to address the unemployment problem.
The JKC expansion programme includes creation of jobs at different levels, balanced growth by supporting primary and industrial sectors and human resource development starting at an early age. Chief Secretary, J. Harinarayana and top officials attended the meeting.
