New facility to be set up in Nanjing, China
Hyderabad, February 8, 2007
The global major IT player Satyam Computer Services Limited is setting up its largest development facility outside India in Nanjing, China. An agreement on this was signed between the CEO of Satyam S. Ramalinga Raju and Shao Qiang, Director of Nanjing New and High technology Development Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nanjing Hi-tech Zone in Nanjing along with the ground breaking ceremony according to a press release issued.
Located in the Nanjing Software Pak, the 2500 set state of the art campus will include development areas, training center, convention center, recreational facilities and dormitories. The campus will be the largest Satyam Campus in terms of space and will feature a broadband data communication system among others.
As of now, Satyam employees over 400 professionals in China of which 97 percent are locals. The new campus will be operational within the next one year and expected to ramp up significantly.
