AP High Court stays construction of recreation centre

Interim order for a writ filed by Fisherman Youth Welfare Association

A Division Bench of the High Court comprising of Chief Justice GS Singhvi and Justice CV Nagarajuna Reddy on Monday stayed the construction of a recreation centre including a amphi theatre on the beach of Visakhapatnam.

The Bench in an interim order in a writ petition filed by Fisherman Youth Welfare Association complaining that the construction was without the authority of Law. The petitioner further complained that the AP Pollution Control Board was not acting and despite lack of clearance, the developers were proceeding with the construction in a prohibited area. The Bench directed a senior judge of the district to implement the stay orders.
