Designs of proposed scheme completed

Hyderabad, February 3, 2007

The State Government will soon share the details of the proposed multi purpose scheme on Palar river with the Government of Tamil Nadu. In a press release by the Chief Minister's office on Saturday, the Government sought to emphasize that the quantity of water to be used at the proposed scheme would be 600 million cubic feet only and not 2000 million cubic feet as apprehended by the Tamilnadu Government.

The designs of the proposed scheme, which would supply drinking water to the drought hit Kuppam mandal in Chittoor district and irrigate 4,000 acres in the kharif season are almost complete.
