TDP demands Railway Minister to resign

Says injustice is done to the State in budget

Hyderabad, February 27, 2007

On Tuesday, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs and leaders staged a dharna opposite the Rail Nilayam protesting against the injustice done to the State and South Central Railway in the Railway Budget.

The leaders raised slogans demanding the Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and the eight Union Ministers from the State. They regretted that, despite heavy pressure from the State, SCR did not have any new trains or railway lines.

Dayakara Rao said though five coach factories were announced in the budget, not one had come to Andhra Pradesh. They reiterated the demand for locating a coach factory at Kazipet.
